Weekend Haul | EG

Hiya everyone! I’m so sorry that I haven’t blogged for two weeks, but I’ve had a lot of work to do recently, and I’ve finally gotten chance to sit down and write a post for all of you!

This week I’m going to show you what I’ve bought recently, which is quite a lot more than I usually would do as I got paid and thought I’d treat myself ( a lot )

The Shirt Dress.

The first thing I picked up was this gorgeous shirt dress, which was £19.99 from New Look. I’ve been staring at this dress for so long now, and have tried it on atleast three times. This time I tried it on, and new I had to buy it. The pattern is so gorgeous, and as grey is one of my favourite colours to wear I knew I had to get it. It was actually my friend that persuaded me to buy this, as is the case with most of these items.

Cactus.

Today I went into ikea, and as I walked down to the tills, I saw these three cactus sitting together and thought they were so adorable! Yet again, my friend told me to buy them and here I am adoring them. They look so cute all together on my dressing table, and for just £4.50 for all three, you can’t go wrong.

Makeup.

The first makeup piece I bought was the MUA moisturising primer. I have a love for primers, and thought a moisturising one would be so good as a two in one kind of product. The packaging is so simple and looks lovely in my makeup organiser and I can’t wait to use this product and test it out!

The second product I bought was the Freedom Pro Studio fixing spray. Sadly, the matte spray had ran out, which was the one I was looking for. However, at around £5 I thought I might as well try this. My makeup seems to come off easier as I have oily skin, so I thought I would try a fixing spray to see if all of the rave reviews are right.

Have you guys bought anything you love recently?

Are there any blog posts you would like to see?

Have a lovely day,

Wish List | EG

Happy Easter everyone! I hope you all have a lovely day! Today I have my wish list for you, which I’m excited to show you because there are some really lovely things in there.

Tarte Amazonian Clay Palette

First of all, I saw this gorgeous eyeshadow palette from tarte. I’m not sure where I first saw this palette, but when I did I fell in love with it. The colours are really versatile and there are so many you could match together. The price of this palette depends on where you buy it from. On QVC it is around £32.

Topshop Moto Cord Jacket

This jacket is gorgeous! It’s a champagne kind of colour, which is good because it’s neautral and would go with so many outfits. This is actually in the sale for £10!! Yes that is true! Sadly, this is out of stock so I’m scouring the Internet to find one!

Topshop Mom Jeans

When I went to Outfit recently I tried these jeans on and they were so comfortable and flattering. They are meant to be cropped, so I would get them in a longer length. Usually I would be leg 34, but I would get leg 36 so they would be longer. These jeans would be great for summer because they are not super tight, and would look great with a cropped top or a halterneck.

Too Faced Melted Liquid Lipstick in Chihuahua

This lipstick is so pretty! I’ve seen these floating around Instagram so many times and I love this shade. It is a pinky brown colour and would look great with a neutral eyeshadow. For £16, I do think you’re getting a good product and I think it is a reasonable price for a too faced product, especially one with such great reviews.

Have you guys got any wishes?

Have a lovely day! ( and Easter! )

Nails that won’t let you down | EG

We all know the story, one shower and your nails are chipped, they begin to crack and the nail varnish fades after a few days. Being extremely interested in nails and nail art, I like to buy products that last and when I saw the Barry M Sunset Daylight Curing Nail Polish (what a mouthful) I knew I had to try it.

Barry M is a great brand. The makeup is fantastic, and so are the nail polishes- and I’m yet to try their new primers. Barry M – from what I’ve been told – do not test on animals, which is an extreme positive as many brands, including makeup giant MAC ( who are notorious for this ) do test on animals.

I own three of the nail polishes and they are all fantastic. My favourite is dark side of the shroom which is a mauve colour. I also own do you pink I’m sexy and vengeance is wine. The polishes themselves are extremely pigmented and build able. One coat of the darker shades is all you’d need, unless you want a really deep colour

The brush of the polishes is wide so you can paint your whole and nail without covering your fingers in it. The packaging is also gorgeous- rose gold packaging anyone?

The showstopper is the top coat. Oh my gosh I’ve never used one that is so good. Barry M does make the best nail polishes, mine usually last for a week or two. This topcoat makes your nails look like gels. At first I thought ” No that’s not possible ” but now it’s a whole other story! My nail polish stays for up to 2 weeks- without chips and the only reason I have to remove it is because it’s grown down so far.

My favourite thing is the range of colours. There are bright colours, muted nudes and dark reds. Whatever colour your looking for, this range will most likely have it.

I would definately recommend buying these polishes, especially as they are usually part of a deal in a range of shops!

Have you guys got a favourite brand?

Have a lovely day!

Mini Haul | EG

Recently I went into town with some of my friends and bought a few things. After not blogging for a week or two I thought it was about time I wrote something up for you guys.

These are just the bits of makeup that I bought from a few places.

After seeing that primark have a huge new make up range, I decided to try their new bb cream. I prefer using bb cream to foundation because it sits nicer on my face and gives my skin a more even look.

I got one of lightest ones because im quite pale and I definitely didn’t want the dreaded orange line along my jaw. From the picture, you can see that it matches my skin nicely and is not cakes. Of course, I only did a swatch and didn’t rub it in as I would on my face.

Personally, I really like this product. It smells slightly like cucumber which is really refreshing and it is also very moisturising. However it isn’t extremely pigmented, but when it’s priced at only £2.50 I’m not going to complain that it isn’t Mac quality.

The next thing I bought was a concealer. In the T.J Hughes in my city centre they sell all of the w7 range and loads of nice makeup. I decided to pick up the ‘go’ concealer as it seems pretty similar to my benefit ‘boi-ing’ concealer and I don’t want to run out of it.

The ‘go’ concealer is extremely similar to the benefit concealer because it has the same consistency and colour. I actually got a lighter colour in the w7 concealer so it will lighten my under eyes. I like using a wax concealer because I find that it lasts alt longer than liquid. I got this for just £2.99 which I think is great considering how similar it is to the benefit concealer.

The next thing I got was another mascara. I currently use the waterproof max volume flash by rimmel. This is the best mascara I’ve ever used, I find that it looks even nicer on my lashes than the ‘they’re real’ by benefit. This isn’t on sale anymore, so I picked one up in T.J Hughes for just £3.99.

The last thing I bought is definitely my favourite. Primark have also started doing lip crayons and when I saw this one I fell in love with it.

It’s a velvet matte lip crayon and was just £2! It feels really lovely to apply and doesn’t dry my lips. It is quite a cool toned brown-pink colour. Combined with a lighter pnik nude colour it looks really nice with some shadows from the w7 in the nude palette.

Have you guys bought any new things you love?

Have a lovely day!

Christmas Wish List | EG

Christmas is only four days away!!! I’m a little bit excited if you can tell. I pre put together my Christmas wish list, even though I know I won’t be getting them as I’ve already got my present. These are a few things that I really like and think are really pretty.

leaf print overlay dress- topshop

iPhone 6 silver – Apple

Adidas superstar metallic – asos

Fujifilm instax mini 8 film – Amazon

Parlour grey and silver midi watch – Olivia burton

Adidas essentials t shirt – urban outfitters

I think this dress is so gorgeous and would be really lovely with some skater shoes or boots and an oversized coat or a black denim jacket. It could be dressed up or down and I think that’s really nice.

Obviously a new phone is probably on everyone’s wishlist and with the release of the 6 and 6s Apple will obviously be getting a lot of orders. I like the iPhone 6 as its more budget friendly and being stuck on the iPhone 4s is not fun really.

These trainers were featured in my last yes please post. I just can’t get enough of them! I think they’re so pretty and add a subtle quirky touch to an outfit.

I have the pink fujifilm instax mini 8. I got it 2 years ago for Christmas but I haven’t had any film since last New Year’s Eve as I used it all and I haven’t got round to buying any,ore film so this is more of a need than a want.

This watch is so beautiful. I love grey and silver and the flowers on the face are so gorgeous. The midi dial is a nice size to because I have tiny wrists and a huge watch face would make them look even smaller!

Urban outfitters has the nicest clothes. If I always had money I would buy all of my clothes in there! This adidas top is really ladiback and neautral and would match with everything.

What’s on your Christmas Wishlist?

Have a lovely day!

face scrubs : clean & clear vs soap & glory | EG♡

I have searched for products that suit my skin for a while. There are many rumours that scrubs are bad for your skin, but I cant help but use them. They leave my skin feeling clean and soft and looking fresher. Recently I have tried out the soap & glory “scrub of your life” after always using the clean & clear “exfoliating daily wash”. Here’s my verdict.

Clean & Clear exfoliating daily wash

This has been my number one face product for a long time and really does make a difference. It leaves my skin feeling soft and looking clear. The packaging is nice and easy to use and the product itself smells clean and feels nice.

Pros:

– exfoliates well

– no strange smell

– easy to use

– comes in a range, so can be used with other products

Cons

– leaves skin feeling dry, definitely need a moisturiser afterwards

– can leave skin shiny

– doesn’t last all day

Soap & Glory scrub of your life

Recently, it was my birthday, which resulted in my house being flooded with bath and beauty products! I have never really used soap and glory before even though I knew it was a good brand. I have definitely been converted! This scrub is brilliant. The beads are a bit bigger and disperse in to little ones which cleans my face thoroughly. The packaging is adorable ( as always ) and it smells great. My skin is left clean, soft and free of blemishes and blackheads.

Pros:

– cleans skin extremely thoroughly

– smells great

– packaging is adorable

– no moisturiser needed, as it moisturises too

– comes in different sizes

Cons:

– can leave skin blushed, but it fades straight away ( and my skin does that when I touch it anyway )

That’s all I can think of!!

What about you guys? Do you have a favourite brand?

Have a lovely day!

August favourites! | EG♡

I rarely do favourites posts but this month I feel like I have to! I have really enjoyed this month ( obviously because of the holidays ) and these are a few things that I’ve loved this month.

Victoria’s Secret bag

This bag is so cute! It’s the perfect size to carry my things that I need and the colours are gorgeous. It also has a little charm and now on the zip which is really sweet. If you guys want a what’s in my bag post I can do one for you too!

Rose gold watch- newlook

I got this for Christmas last year and wore it every day then kind of forgot about it. Recently I’ve been wearing it every day and I love it. It goes with all of my outfits and has the right amount of sparkle on it too.

Nail gems

This huge pack of nail gems was given to me by my friend for secret Santa. The colours are all lovely and match every nail varnish. I wore silver ones recently with a glitter polish and they looked so pretty.

Rommel London- brow this way

I don’t wear any makeup, but I feel like this is a must. I have thick eyebrows that never seem to stay the way I brush them. I absolutely love this product and would recommend it to anyone. It goes on and dries clear, as my eyebrows are dark I don’t want to put any coloured gel on them. It is a really good product, I will definitely be repurchasing.

Anatomicals – no old bags allowed

I got this in the plane on my way home for just £5! You take a small bit and rub it under your eyes to reduce darkness and bags. I have really got into skincare this month and love looking after my skin. I feel like this makes a big difference, I can definitely see it in myself. For just £5 I will be repurchasing this.

Ciate nail polish & topshop exhibit nail polish

Cite is now my go to top and base coat. I have the underwear base coat and silicone top coat. Both of them are such good quality and really make my nails look like gel. I got 10 for £10 at the clothes show last December and they have all lasted really well, none of the colours have ran out yet.

Topshop exhibit is such a pretty colour. I do think it’s more of an autumnal colour, but I love it too much to wait. It stays on for ages and pretty red and purple tones in it. I can’t wait to use it again.

what have you guys been loving?

I also have some reviews coming up for you!
